A few cuties from when my mom was here. 

Weston: 3 Years

These past 3 years have been so much fun and they've gone way too fast... although I'm really enjoying Weston being more and more independent. I keep telling him that I want him to stop growing and he replies with, "No, I want to get bigger and bigger and bigger like daddy." Cue the sobs. Sometimes I miss getting to spend 1:1 time with him because it's in those quiet moments where he'll just talk and talk and tell you all the little things in his head. Some of his interests are trains, railroad crossing signs, anything construction, digging holes, playing cake man or pizza man {pretty much anything pretend}, building tunnels, and being with his friends. He and his friends love to play pretend and they're always making a big batch of soup outside {water in a huge tupperware container full of leaves and bark}. He's learning how to say prayers by himself {"Dear Heavenly Father, bless our food, amen"} and he never strays from these 3 lines. Potty training is coming along {ever so slowly} but we're getting there. His favorite thing in the whole world is his puppy dog who's he's named Baby and his blue blanket which he calls blue blanky. He absolutely loves books- he'll sit and look at books on his own and would have 100 books a day read to him if it worked out. I love you Weston... it's been the best 3 years. 

Weston had a big construction birthday party a couple of days before his birthday. On his birthday we had a family party and he chose ice cream cake. Watching him blow out these candles was sooooo  extremely funny. That green candle just wasn't going to give up and neither was Weston. 

Weston's 3rd {Construction} Birthday Party

Weston was sooooo excited for his party. We had to make a countdown calendar because there were LOTS of questions as to when the party was happening. He woke up to a decorated house and a big ol' present {a basketball hoop}. It was so fun seeing how excited he was for everything. 

I really need to learn how to do collages so until then.... here are a million pictures to scroll through. 

Every party, no lie, I mess up on the first round of the cake. It's my new norm and I'm just starting to accept that this happens every time. Grrr. Around 3 am the first cake turned out to be a disaster... but it all worked out and I think the end cake turned out really cute. Weston was obsessed with it. 

The little tool belts to turn the kiddies into a construction crew. 

We had a little meeting to get the crew outfitted and ready for their big jobs. 

They hammered nails, 

dug in the sand, 

helped construct a big cardboard house, 

built towers, 

ate pulled pork sandwiches for lunch, 

and of course ate cake. Weston takes his candle blowing very seriously! Three happy years... we love you Weston. It was a perfect day, except for not getting a group picture of the kids. {Many thanks to my mom who flew in to help me party prep. And to Cam who took pictures during the party. Love you both.}

Father's Day {2012}

Father's Day weekend I planned a little trip to Half Moon Bay to see the tide pools. Let's just say the tide pool thing didn't work out too well because I can't read the tide chart.... but we had fun regardless.  Mostly we just wanted to show our daddy how much we love him. The boys love when Cameron gets home from work and they run as fast as they can to play in Cameron's car. It's not Cameron's favorite thing in the world because he's been commuting for hours but the boys absolutely love it. They yell out the sunroof, blast the music, and push every button on the dash. He's a good daddy! :) 

Give the boys some rocks, sand, and water and they're happy campers. 

After about 5 minutes of family time Weston escaped us and trespassed past the "stop" sign. He reaaaalllly wanted to make a pizza in that one spot and there he remained. Three years old.... it's going to be rough. 

The rest of us watched the seals {who were so super close to us} and played in the sand.

Such a fun day celebrating the best daddy and hubby in the world. We love you Cameron!!  

Weston's Preschool Graduation {2012}

The party girl in me loves that there's a party for everything.... even graduating from a 2's preschool program. I'm still trying to sway Cameron's opinion on this one. It was really sweet to see Weston with his friends and participate in a little program for the parents. Putting Weston in a 2's program was perfect for him. He loved going, loved his teacher, learned a lot of independence, and it was a great outlet for all of his crazy energy. We love you Weston and are so proud of you!

After their performance his teacher gave them scrapbooks and homemade capes. Sooo sweet. She's a sewer and she gave her class so many sweet home made gifts throughout the year. I'll totally miss her.

There was a big potluck party after graduation with bounce houses and games. The kiddos had a blast. Now onto the 3's.... watch me cry. 

Livermore Rodeo {2012}

I die for the rodeo. It is one of my favorite parts of summer. The little boys loved getting into the action and were pretty intent on watching the races. And when they weren't watching the horses they were eating hot dogs, and running up and down the hill. Pretty much a party any way you looked at it.

Holden's had hotdogs before, all neatly cut up served with a fork. Tonight he got his first Rodeo dog, in a bun, all slathered with ketchup and mustard. The kid was in heaven.
