Welcome Home Elder Pannier

Our good family friend Alan Pannier came home from his 2 year LDS mission a couple of weeks ago. He served in Argentina and was such an awesome missionary. I think we have known Alan FOREVER... and we were lucky enough to see him get baptized a member of our church. Love you Alan... welcome home and I wish I could say hi in person! His family was so excited to see him... hello, it had been two years!! 

Luke's First Birthday!

Lucas turned one- we wished we could have been to the big birthday bash. Happy Birthday Lucas! I think the cake is so cute! 

My dad is becoming quite the photographer- I like the editing in this one. I'm hoping to get some good tips from his new photography blog.

And All The Other Things We Did In Utah

So Cameron and I have never been away from each other for more then a day since we've been married (ahhhhh) so it was totally weird to go without him for a few days. I flew in Sunday night to help with the wedding preparations and he flew in Wednesday just before the wedding dinner. Apparently he missed me too- he sent me flowers the first day I was there. I walked inside the house after a rough day of shopping with the girls and there was this beautiful flower arrangement. So cute... 

And then there was Jordin Sparks and Jesse McCartney. It's true, we went to the concert (at least we went for free and didn't buy the tickets). 

Let's just say that this is who attended the concert... moms and their 5-12 year old daughters. 

And this is us... trying to fit in. We are still recovering from the hearing loss from the screaming 12 year old girls. 

We hit up the lake with our relatives- the Glenns. Josie was busy but Courtney brought along his adorable boys Kyler and Bryson. 

It was FREEZING on the boat. I wore my hoodie the whole time.

My birthday is coming up so we all went to dinner at Porcupine to celebrate. Their fish tacos and diet coke were to die for. 

It's true, I'm turning 29 (for my first time) this year. This is definitely an action shot, look at my eyes. 

Josie and I organized a game night with some of our cousins. It was super fun and great to spend time with the fam. We ended the night with Pit, that game is hilarious. 

Brent And Angie's Wedding

Brent and Angela were married in the Salt Lake temple on August 14th. It was such a fun day and everything turned out great.

The garden reception was a blast... dancing, mingling, and seeing lots of people I grew up with. 

Notice how I did not say setting up and cleaning up the reception was a blast. :) Love you Brent. 

And the cutting of the cake... which they lovingly fed to each other. Not even a tiny smear of cake on the cheek happened at this wedding. 
And the happy couple rode away on the Brent's motorcycle... with no helmets of course. Congrats Brent and Angela!! 

Brent and Angie's Wedding Dinner

Brent and Angela's wedding dinner was held the night before at Market Street Grill. It was great to finally meet Angela's family and spend time with everyone before the big day. 

On the way to the restaurant Luke stared at Cameron for almost 10 minutes. It was seriously so funny... I think he was trying to figure out who he was. Last time we saw Luke he was a baby... now he is almost walking! He is seriously adorable with the cutest chilled out personality. 

Look at Brent... he is so embarrassed. Our little tradition is to do a "top 10" that your soon to be spouse needs to know about you. Lets just say we pulled out some great memorable top 10 moments. I think Angela looks scared (I would be too). 

Me and mom.... she did a great job organizing the dinner and the homemade almond roca was a hit. It was such a hit that it broke my aunts tooth as she bit into it.

Back From Utah

We are back from Utah and I can't believe my brother is married. Weird, but great. I'm thinking about all the great times we had as I download tons and tons of photos... here's just a few: 

-Meeting my brother's fiance finally... and then being apart of their wedding. They are super cute and the wedding festivities were a blast.  

-Being in the same room with President Eyring- he sealed Brent and Angela in the Salt Lake temple. One word for that... amazing. 

-Eating at Cafe Rio (by the way, they are coming to California... just not sure where. If they open in So. Cal we are moving.)

-Having 1/4 of my bottle of perfume leak into my suitcase on the way to Utah and 1/4 of my bottle spill on the way back. That is just so great. 

-Finally going over the wake while wake boarding- and then of course wiping right out. 

-Finishing Twilight and starting New Moon. 

-Seeing Jesse McCartney and Jordin Sparks live... and definitely being the oldest person there (without accompanying a child). How embarrassing. 

-Shopping at all the places I wish were in California (i.e. Roberts, Tai-Pan, etc). Who wants to open those stores in the bay area? 

-And of course seeing family and friends after such a long time... pictures to come.

Accident Prone

Cameron had a few issues last weekend- he was a bit accident prone. 

Accident #1:

The attacker: the ice-maker. 

Our ice-maker broke on our 2 month old fridge... awesome. So he was trying to get the whole thing out and the bin is frozen in the freezer. He keeps getting closer and closer to the ice bin and finally yanks it out- nailing his face and lip. Next thing you know he is leaning over the sink- blood everywhere. That little lip just kept bleeding- even through the night. Someone at work told him it looked like he had a piece of beef jerky on his lip. Um, it was not that bad.

Accident #2: 

The attacker: the hood 

Cam was making cookies (what good husband) and somehow the hood got in his way. But don't worry- recovery was quick enough that he could still finish his cookies.  Seriously, maybe Cam should stay out of the kitchen? 

Good Thing

that Joshua won So You Think You Can Dance. He was so good and we loved him. Hopefully he doesn't disappear like Sabra... where is she? 

Summer Lovin'

I love my 3 week summer break where I don't have to see any kids. Not that I don't love my job, but lets be honest, I need a break. I'm down to 2 jobs (from 4) and I like to be really lazy. Some days I  go to yoga and then I lay on the couch. I feel really guilty the whole time but not guilty enough to get up. But then I unfortunately remember I have homework for my last online class (hooray) and then I want to cry because instead of watching HGTV I get to watch videos and take tests. And then Niki saves the day and we craft. I have never crafted a whole day and I think I might like it. We found this awesome artist, Lorena Siminovich, who sells great art to Anthropologie for $104.00.  Niki and I made ours for $5.00 + the cost of frames. I just love a good deal.

The Dirty Delta

Boating in the dirty Delta is the best... but sadly we have been neglecting out boating adventures this summer (compared to last) due to our home renovation projects. But last weekend we all put those projects to a rest and went out on the Hall's boat... appropriately named Uno Mas. We had a blast and the weather was beautiful.

Jason rocked, as usual, wake surfing. 

Look at Cam jumping the wake... he is definitely getting good. And just for the record- he is landing 180's now. 

Jason was determined to conquer the wake surfing his first day trying it. He was close... 

My philosophy once I'm up is "Do anything you can to stay up." So that means don't go over the wake. I like it like that. 

Brooke is really like a pro. Let's see... she gets up her first try, jumps wakes, and only falls because she is too tired to hold on anymore. Yes, she is good. 

Niki was awesome... and escaped the trip with only a minor injury. C'mon Niki... it doesn't really hurt when you get nailed in the head with a surf board.
